Here's a conference that sounds fabulous - 14th Reflective Practice Conference. The only snag is the call for abstracts closes today. I thought I might submit an abstract about how I use this blog for reflection and the issues that arise form that such as professional identity and privacy. The School of Nursing and Health Studies, Waiariki Institute of Technology, Rotorua is very proud to announce that the 14th Reflective Practice Conference will be held at the Millennium Hotel, Rotorua, New Zealand, from 3rd to 5th September, 2008.
This is the first time that this international conference, whose aim is to improve professional practice through reflection, has been held in the southern hemisphere. It is convened by Prof Christopher Johns, a world expert in reflective practice.
International Speakers Professors Christopher Johns, Arthur Bochner and Carolyn Ellis will present workshops prior to the conference.
This conference is multidisciplinary and will attract Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers, Teachers, Complementary Therapists, Physiotherapists and others.
Whilst most of the delegates will be from New Zealand and Australia, the conference is expected to attract delegates from Europe, UK, USA and parts of Asia.

It does look like a great conference, and the only time it has been to this part of the world. What a shame I just have too much on and absolutely can't fit this in.
